Boy George and Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy team up for a sweeping orchestral pop single, “Let The Flowers Grow,” featuring a message of hope and tolerance.
I’ve been changing
And mama don’t know
Let her tears fall
And make the flowers grow
The song was originally written by Boy George with its initial message being “one of personal acceptance about being gay,” according to a press release.
As the song developed, it “took on a more expansive and universal scope with its lyrics extending beyond sexuality and embracing race, gender, creed and religion.”
