Rebecca Black, who first found the music spotlight when she went viral with her 2011 debut single “Friday” at the age of 13, is back with new music – a 7-song electro-pop project SALVATION.

Black is clearly way past her “Friday” phase as she rolls around in the mud, shaking what she’s got in the title track’s music video.

I don’t need you to save me / I already saved myself
Promise that it hurts to hate me
Swear you’re only poisoning yourself
I found everything I needed on my own
Sweet liberation / In my salvation

In a recent interview, the 27-year-old told NME that her coming out as queer in 2020 was about “me taking matters into my own hands for the first time and trusting my instinct, which has led me to where I am now.”

“Gay is an energy that’s so much bigger than how people have used it [negatively]. If you want to get down to specifics, I am queer, I am bi, I am pan – I am all of those [things]. But I am also gay.”

SALVATION is now available on all music streaming services. And Black is already hitting the road this week on a 19-city international tour with some dates already sold out.
